Yes you can. From the Bank window, click Record. Enter the nominal code of the account you want to change and press TAB. A message appears asking you if you want to convert the account type to a bank account. To do this, click Yes. Remember to check your Chart of Accounts layout to make sure your nominal codes are included in the correct ranges when you make changes to your account types.

In the main Nominal window click on the N/C box, Instant Accounts will now sort your nominal list into Nominal Code order. The headings on many of the module lists are sort buttons. Use them to view your lists in the order you require.

From the Nominal window highlight the nominal code, and click Record.
The details tab of the record is opened.
Click into the name box, change the details in the text field and click Save.

If you want a new nominal record to appear in the P&L report, it needs to be one of the four accounts shown below. Use the New button, in the Nominal screen, to create your new record. During the process you are prompted to enter the Type of nominal account, the options are:
Sales.
Purchases.
Direct Expenses.
Overheads.
You are then prompted to enter to select the Category for the new nominal code, the list box automatically displays the available headings from the type you selected. If you use the wizard and select one of the options above then it will be automatically included in your P&L report.

The Day Books: Nominal Ledger report only shows Journals Debits and Journal Credits.
To run the report:
1. From the Nominal window click Reports.
2. From the Reports window, select the Day Books: Nominal Ledger, select the relevant output type and click Run.

Enter the budgets into the relevant month in the Budget column.
3. If your budgets are the same every month then enter the total figure into the Total Budget box and press tab, the figure is then divided by 12 and entered into each individual month.

Yes. You can create chart of accounts to show different types of information. For example, you can have a default layout for the whole company, a layout for the sales director, a layout for the purchasing director and a layout for budgets. When you run a report based on the chart of accounts, you can choose which chart of accounts you want to use and you can also change the default chart of accounts used for this report.
